The National Engineers Week Future City Competition is to introduce the Middle School Students, the grades where critical steps to develop their interest and abilities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).   Future City brings these subjects alive in a way that allows the students design and build creative, hands-on engineering solutions to real-world community issues under the guidance of teachers and volunteer engineer mentors.
