City of Joukai
Joukai, which means heaven, was built from the ground up (actually from below the ground up). From our underground transportation system to our solar-powered jets, Joukai truly is heaven on Earth. Our highly refined transportation infrastructure, Kim Williams Transportation Technology (KWTT), was created to lower gas emissions and make Joukai more environmentally friendly. KWTT promotes a fast and easy access to all zones of the city, as well as providing an important service to our citizens.
In our commercial zone, Skywalkers, or moving sidewalks enclosed in a skyway system, provide our shoppers and workers with an above ground connection to all of the buildings. This arrangement allows for a quick entry to all shops and businesses in the area. Centered in the middle of our main commercial district is the world-famous Hotel Eden. Each section of the hotel has its own climate system, re-creating many interesting places around the world. Tourism from the hotel and surrounding museums remains a major source of income for Joukai. In addition, our famous roof gardens located on top of commercial buildings produce a relaxing and calming atmosphere, reducing the stress levels of our citizens, along with the added benefit of stabilizing building temperatures. The roof gardens complete the eye-catching skyline of the city and are a highlight within our commercial districts.
One of the striking features in our industrial zone is the Alamaxemy Research Center which has recently developed an improved form of clear photovoltaic paint that can harness up to 80% of the sun’s energy. We not only collect energy, but our Thermal Depolymerization Process (TDP) system provides the materials to make energy. In combination, the TDP and recycling centers eliminate the need for landfills, reducing carbon dioxide and methane levels in the atmosphere. Greenspace and parks are plentiful in our city, preserving natural habitats and wildlife, even in the industrial zones.
Joukai boasts many types of recreational clubs in our residential areas, employing the same form of climate control as Hotel Eden. If you want to go skiing in the middle of the summer, then just visit the Stefan Mountain Recreational Club. Don’t want to ski? Then choose the Roussin Ropes Recreational Club and bungee jump just blocks away. These recreational clubs ensure the on-going health and well-being of the community. The ergonomic design of our grid pattern provides adequate police and fire coverage to the residents of Joukai. The layout consists of a block of city service buildings, including police and fire stations as well as a museum and school. With a high priority on education, our education quotient is high at 123, ensuring a better future for generations to come.
As our population continues to grow, Joukai maintains the highest of standards. The average life expectancy of our citizens is 88 years and is largely due to our emphasis on excellent healthcare and fitness. Minimal taxes, coupled with a low crime rate and pollution levels of only 3%, make Joukai the most wonderful place to live.
