Ektara Abstract
Welcome to Ektara, a tropical ocean paradise. The name “Ektara” comes from Hindi, meaning “star.” It alludes to both its star-shaped land form and its main source of power, the sun. Built on reclaimed land from limestone quarry, and separated by a bay into Inner and Outer Star areas, Ektara’s residents enjoy a spectacular quality of life.
Over 600 acres of parkland make Ektara an exceptionally green city. Every home is located either on or a short distance from water, allowing residents to enjoy panoramic ocean views and quiet walks along the coastline. Ektara has entertaining theme parks, resorts, sports parks, zoos and marinas. Historic landmarks, such as the Petronas Twin Towers and the Great Pyramids are fun to visit, and the city enjoys watching its championship baseball team, The AggreStars!
Education is a priority in Ektara. Grade “A” schools engage students with cutting edge technology like “back in time” teleporting field trips. Libraries contain all written documents which come alive with different languages. Museums are internationally known for their historic preservations presented through virtual reality. Medical research centers, technology studios, and space ports make Ektara a scientific marvel.
The atmosphere is crystal clear in Ektara due to non-polluting energy sources and mandatory recycling and bioremediation laws. Transportation systems are hassle-free. Citizens use voice command SRVs (solar road vehicles) that are powered for free by Ektara’s famous “SuperSolarPave.” Cars are directed by GPS computers so passengers can just sit back and enjoy the ride. Crashes are non-existent due to infrared beams and magnetic force fields which repel cars around obstacles. Multi-lane roads have reversible direction “smart lanes” that activate automatically to keep lanes flowing. If the mood strikes, citizens can use either the Land or Ocean StarRails, or they can fly to their destination in their personal Bubble Buddies or Bubble Buses.
Ekatar’s aggregate industry is unique. Obsolete buildings and roads implode into underground Aggrebots that use a “reverse assembly-line” process to remove non-aggregate materials. Aggrebots then process aggregates to their original forms so they can be reused in new construction. Aggrebots are moving aggregate processing/recycling plants that house the entire aggregates industry, providing cost efficiency and quality control. State-of-the-Art desalinization, water, and sewage treatment plants are also located underground. This preserves the pristine beauty of upper Ektara.
Technology in Ektara is constantly evolving. Residents enjoy high levels of security due to Ektara Smart Chips (ESCs) embedded in the walls of buildings. ESCs “know their residents” and can detect break-ins, fires, weather threats, and medical emergencies. The system alerts and dispatches assistance immediately. Iris and fingerprint scans prevent fraud, giving Ektara a 0% crime rate. Farms produce biotechnologically advanced foods with anti-disease formulas. Offshore buoy alerts systems detect weather changes at the same time that they collect energy. All these combine to provide residents unequaled quality of life and unsurpassed life expectancy.
Everyday life in Ektara is anything but every day. We invite you to experience Ektara’s “shining star” wonders for yourself!
Ektara Essay
Ektara’s Photovoltaic SuperSolarPave Saves Transportation Dollars!
Good concrete and asphalt roadway mixes contain aggregates that add strength, hardness, flexibility, and durability.1 Imagine if you could add a photovoltaic2 component to that aggregate mix, that would not sacrifice any of these road features, and at the same time create an energy source that would power the vehicles driving on that road. Impossible? Not in Ektara where SuperSolarPave is rocking the Aggregate Industry! Ektarians have discovered a photosynthetic polymer that replaces 50% of the natural aggregates. SuperSolarPave is this year’s top product coming out of Aggrebot – Ektara’s world famous, robotic traveling aggregate processing plant. Now, the engineers and workers inside Aggrebot can be powered by their own award-winning product, SuperSolarPave.
Smooth riding SuperSolarPave will now power all roadway transportation in Ektara, turning vehicles into SRVs (Solar Road Vehicles). With SuperSolarPave, roads are no longer just transportation pathways, they are solar power sources that save millions in transportation dollars. SuperSolarPave’s indestructible aggregate formula gives Ektarians a continuous free ride and let’s them say goodby to expensive, polluting, fossil fuel cars and stressful road repair congestion, two major complaints of auto drivers.3
Inspiring SuperSolarPave development was the fact that 40-60% of the cost of aggregates is due to transportation.4 Compactors, sweepers, pavers, rollers, graders, and trucks travel to and from quarries, mines, processing plants, aggregate factories, and job sites. The resulting transportation cost of man-hours and fuel usage makes aggregate prices go up with distance. A $2 per short ton truck of aggregate with a $1 per ton-mile cost will become $20 in just 18 miles.5 With SuperSolarPave, Ektara’s engineers have solved this aggregate transportation inefficiency!
SuperSolarPave’s formula is an enhanced combination of Florida’s porous, (storm-water absorbant) asphalt mix, SuperPave6 and Ohio’s indestructible Perpetual Pavement7. It uses the thickness/layer specifications of the U.S. 30 Project.8 Ektara’s Nanotechnology Engineers were instrumental in the design. They discovered when matter is manipulated on the atomic scale, optical, electrical, magnetic, and other characteristics of materials change and take on magical qualities that are quantum mechanical in nature.9 They applied this theory on Florida’s limestone where Ektara is located by powdering the aggregate down to nanoscale, and mixing it with a polymer to create a nano-composite with a hardness never seen in the natural world.10 This indestructibility was ideal for roads with ever-increasing traffic loads.11 Recycled tire rubber was added to give flexibility,12 along with the famous photovoltaic polymer mix. When heated, this mix hardens the aggregate and creates a sparkling finish that soaks up SuperSolarPave Ektaraengineers took this to heart. With SuperSolarPave, every road is paved in gold!
