Since graduating from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, my career has been spent in city engineering, engineering consulting, and most recently, county engineering.  My city and consultant experience includes sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water main, and street improvement projects in and around the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.

Currently, as the Assistant Rice County Engineer, my primary function is to manage the county's roadway and bridge improvement program.  This work consists of all aspects of project delivery including survey, design, permitting, construction, and funding.  Other responsibilities include administration of roadway maintenance and pavement management programs, review of proposed developments, and long-range planning for the highway department.
