“The students involved in the Future City Competition experience an educational exhilaration, mastering an understanding of engineering, cutting edge science, and communication skills that most adults have rarely accomplished. Parents always marvel upon witnessing their son or daughter's transformation from child to young adult resulting from participation in the program. The challenge of educating these young minds has broadened my own understanding of the vast contributions the engineering profession makes to many areas of our everyday lives.”
